Octavo, bound in full brown calf, elaborately gilt-stamped design to the front panel. With  color plates tipped in by Willy Pogany. In very good condition with some rubbing and light wear to the front endpaper.

The Rubáiyát became one of the best-known and most often quoted English classics. The verses of Omar Khayyam, a Persian philosopher and poet, were obscure until 1859, when Edward Fitzgerald published a free adaptation of his works.
