Octavo, two volumes bound in full morocco by Stikeman with gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, quadruple gilt ruling to the panel with ornamental cornerpieces, gilt turn-ins and inner dentelles, marbled endpapers and gilt topstain, illustrated with a tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of Michelangelo and 50 illustrations of his masterworks. In near fine condition. An exceptional example.
