Association copy, inscribed by Barack Obama on the half-title page, “To Julius- Thanks for your support, and what I hope will be a growing friendship! Barack.” The recipient, Julius Genachowski was the Chairperson of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Policy Working Group for then Senator Obama’s 2008 campaign, which created the Obama Technology and Innovation Plan. He also advised and guided the Campaign’s innovative use of technology and the Internet for grassroots engagement and participation. He later went on to become the chairman on the Federal Communication Commission. Examples are usually encountered with just a signature, association copies of this magnitude are uncommon.
