Widely considered one of the greatest and most influential comedians of the 20th century, Julius Henry "Groucho" Marx gained fame and recognition for his distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, and signature comedic quirks including an exaggerated stooped posture, spectacles, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. Groucho starred in thirteen feature films with his siblings, the Marx Brothers, and also enjoyed a successful solo career primarily on radio and television, most notably as the host of the game show You Bet Your Life.
