Association copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title page, “For Arthur B. Tourtellot- with sincere admiration of the skill he displayed in bringing a visual story of the European conflict to the American people with best wishes Dwight D. Eisenhower” at half-title. Recipient’s bookplate facing inscription. Arthur Bernon Tourtellot produced “Crusade in Europe” as a television series at CBS, based on Eisenhower’s book; Eisenhower’s inscription here acknowledges Tourtellot’s key role in the adaptation. The television series included original World War II footage and narration closely adhering to Eisenhower’s writing. Near fine in a very good dust jacket.
