First edition. Octavo, bound in full leather, gilt titles to the spine, inner dentilles, all edges gilt, raised bands. Illustrated, frontispiece of Edgar Allan Poe. From the library of Leverett Saltonstall, with his bookplate. Saltonstall was the tenth generation in direct descent to graduate from Harvard and the great-grandson of a U.S. Congressman of the same name. He later served as Governor and United States Senator of Massachusetts. In very good condition. A very nice compilation of the poems of Edgar Allan Poe, with noted provenance.
