Early printing of Robert Frost’s first Pulitzer Prize-winning collection. Octavo, original cloth, woodcuts by J.J. Lankes. Twice inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper. The first inscription accompanies a previous gift inscription, “and from Robert Frost to second the emotion” followed by later inscription which reads, “I am sorry to have been so sloe with this, but but but R.F.” Additionally inscribed by Frost’s second daughter, Lesley on the same page, “and again, for the third time, from Lesely Frost – Jan 8-’64.” The recipient has made note that Frost first signed the book on May 18th, 1962. In near fine condition. Additional contemporary gift inscription to the second free endpaper. A sharp example of one of Frost’s most well-known works, one that includes, “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.”

Robert Frost's collection of poems is a creative glance into quintessential rural New England life. The author spent his life in the area, and his writing reflects a passionate appreciation.
