First edition of this compilation of issues of Cobbett's Register collected in 1821 bound together with Cropper's letters to Wilberforce. Octavo, bound in three quarters calf over marbled boards. Bookplate of Edward Nicholas Hurt to the front panel, with his signature to the title page and notes to the front free endpaper and verso. In very good condition. First editions are scarce, with the last copy appearing at auction was in 1948.

Octavo, two volumes, bound in contemporary leather, engraved frontispiece to volume I, list of subscribers. The translator's own copy with his inscription, "From the Library of the Rev Robert Potter, M.A., Rector of Lowestoft from 1789 to 1804" to volume one of the front pastedown. Robert Potter was a poet and translator, completed his translation of Euripides in 1783. He established the convention of using blank verse for Greek hexameters and rhymed verse for choruses. In good condition. Rare and desirable, with exceptional provenance.

The fragment has been framed within a patterned textile border. In near fine condition. The piece measures 13.75 inches by 11.25 inches. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box.
