The blessing in elaborate script reads, "Most Holy Father, Margaret, Katherine, Regina, John, Leo and Charles Lougrhan, humbly prostrate at the feet of Your Holiness beg one special blessing." Signed by the pope at the conclusion, "Pope PP. XI." In near fine condition. Double matted and framed. The entire piece measures 24 inches by 19 inches. Uncommon signed by Pope Pius XI.

Rare wonderfully illustrated Czech prayerbook. Duodecimo, bound in half leather over gray boards with approximately forty-five pages of added prayers appended and without all leaves before page twenty-five, illustrated with botanical decorations, calligraphic rubrics and borders ruled in red, and two full-page, had-colored illustrations of the penitent Mary Magdalene and a IHS monogram surrounded by a wreath of flowers. In near fine condition with light rubbing to the spine and slight toning throughout, repair to the bottom corner of the opening leaf.

Rare manuscript written by Mandatory Palestine's first attorney general, British Zionist Norman Bentwich. 21 pages, type-written with copious corrections and revisions in Bentwich's hand throughout, signed by Bentwich at the conclusion of the last page. Developed during his term as Chairman of the United Restitution Organization, the manuscript contains content and notes which would later be published as Bentwich's 1959 book: The Religious Foundations of Internationalism; A Study in International Relations Through the Ages. Also included at the conclusion of the text is a list of suggested reading. In very good condition. A rare and desirable signed manuscript.
