Astronaut Alan Bean flew to the Moon on Apollo 12, the second manned lunar landing mission, in November 1969. He was the fourth person to walk on the Moon, spending over 31 hours on the lunar surface with Commander Charles "Pete" Conrad. Over the course of his career, Bean logged 1,671 hours and 45 minutes in space—of which 10 hours and 26 minutes were spent in EVAs on the moon and in earth orbit.
