First edition of the famed  Mexican film director’s biography of Alfred Hitchcock, a director he has long praised and admired. Octavo, original illustrated wrappers. Signed by the author on the flyleaf, “Guillermo del Toro” who has added a caricature of Alfred Hitchcock. In very good condition.

Mexican film director, producer, screenwriter, and author Guillermo del Toro is best known for his Academy Award-winning fantasy films Pan's Labyrinth (2006) and The Shape of Water (2017), winning the Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture for the latter. Del Toro's work has been characterized by a strong connection to fairy tales and horror, with an effort to infuse visual or poetic beauty in the grotesque. He was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018 and received a motion picture star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
