Plate portfolio of 49 wood-engraved plates by Barry Moser. Each plate signed beneath by him in pencil. A complete suite of plates issued to accompany the limited centenary edition of Huckleberry Finn. In fine condition.

Barry Moser is a distinguished American artist, printmaker, and educator renowned for his masterful wood engravings and illustrations. He has illustrated and designed over 300 books throughout his career, including notable works such as the Pennyroyal Press editions of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking-Glass, Frankenstein, Huckleberry Finn, The Wizard of Oz, and the Pennyroyal Caxton Edition of The Holy Bible. Moser's art is represented in numerous library and museum collections, and he has been recognized with several awards, including the National Book Award for design and illustration in 1983 for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. In addition to his artistic achievements, Moser has contributed to academia as a professor in residence at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
