First edition of the behind-the-scenes photography book companion to Linklater’s narrative film. Quarto, original cloth, illustrated with photographs by Matt Lankes. Signed by the author on the half-title page, “Cheers Richard Linklater.” From the collection of longtime entertainment and celebrity journalist Bill Zwecker. A Chicago native and second-generation newspaper star (his late mother, Peg Zwecker, was the fashion editor of the Sun-Times and Chicago Daily News), Zwecker began his journalism career in the 1980s and has since interviewed some of the most renowned celebrities across a breadth of industries. He has been a frequent contributor to numerous national news and entertainment programs including Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Showbiz Tonight, Extra, and the Today Show. In 2018, Zwecker married Chicago Realtor Tom Gorman, his partner of 17½ years. Fine in a fine dust jacket.

Boyhood, the movie, is a narrative film spanning twelve years in the life of a fictional family. In 2002, director Richard Linklater and a small crew began filming the project with four actors (Patricia Arquette, Ellar Coltrane, Lorelei Linklater, and Ethan Hawke) in the role of a family and filmed them each year over the next dozen years. Seen through the eyes of a young boy in Texas, Boyhood unfolds as the characters - and actors - age and evolve.
