“Everyone is a potential murderer...”: First American edition of Agatha Christie's Curtain

Curtain.

CHRISTIE, Agatha.

Item Number: 143925

New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1975.

First American edition of the last of Agatha Christie’s Poirot novels. Octavo, original half cloth. Fine in a fine dust jacket with a blot of blue ink over the price to the front flap. An exceptional example.

Here is Hercule Poirot's last case, the triumphant climax to his long and brilliant career. Christie wrote the novel in the early1940s during the Second World War with the intention of having it published posthumously. She decided, however, to release it for publication in 1975, perhaps knowing that it would be the last novel published before her death.
