First edition, 2 volumes. Octavo, original red cloth. Leverett Saltanstall’s copies, with an inscription from his sister in both volumes “Leverett Saltanstall from his sister Muriel Christmas 1930”. Leverett was a member of the Boston brahmins and later became governor and United States Senator of Massachusetts. The Saltanstall’s have a chapter devoted to them in these volumes. In very good condition.
