Presentation copy, inscribed by the author opposite the title page, “To Brian happy stargazing! H.A. Rey 4-24-1960.” Rey has added a drawing of a child looking at three stars. Very good in a very good dust jacket. Uncommon signed and inscribed.

Perhaps best known for co-creating, along with his wife Margret, the beloved children's character Curious George, H.A. Rey nurtured a lifelong passion for astronomy, and in addition to publishing two books on the subject for children also contributed illustrations to numerous constellation guides, which are still in print today.
