In very good condition. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Grissom‘s son, Mark Grissom, a Letter of Authenticity from Steve Zarelli of Zarelli Space Authentication.
Virgil Ivan "Gus" Grissom was one of the original Mercury Seven selected by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for Project Mercury, a program to train and launch astronauts into outer space. He was the second American to fly in space in 1961 as part of Mercury-Redstone 4 in his spacecraft 'Liberty Bell 7.' He also had roles as a Project Gemini and Apollo program astronaut for NASA, acting as a Commander on the Apollo I flight.
