Signed black and white photograph of Mark Twain in his trademark white three-piece suit, leaning against the post of a log cabin. Signed “Truly Yours Mark Twain Aug. 12/95.” The photograph measures 8 11/16 x 4 8/16. The frame measures 13 10/16 x 9 3/16. In 1895 Twain and his family embarked on a round-the-world lecture tour- “The Morals Lecture.” The tour began in Cleveland on July 15th, then progressed west through the Northern United States and southern Canada,after which on August 16th, they set sail in Vancouver for Australia. This photograph was signed by Twain, while he was lecturing at the Portland in Portland, Oregon on August 12, 1895. In near fine condition. Matted and framed. Photographs signed by Twain are rare.
