First edition of the book companion to Hirson and Schwartz’s 1972 Broadway musical. Octavo, original boards, illustrated with photographs. Signed by Stephen Schwartz on the title page. Schwartz became the first composer in Broadway history to have three hits running in New York at the same time when The Magic Show opened in the summer of 1974, joining long-running Godspell and Pippin. Near fine in a near fine price-clipped dust jacket. Rare and desirable signed.
Pippin opened on Broadway October 1972 and has been playing to capacity audiences ever since. In addition, there have been many foreign productions. "A burst of joy.
