Thomas De Quincey was an English writer, essayist, and literary critic, best known for his 'Confessions of an English Opium-Eater.' As he was constantly experiencing monetary difficulties, De Quincey turned his attention to the mechanics of value, wages, rent, and profit in his 'Logic of the Political Economy,' a thorough examination of economic thought with special consideration for real-world implications.
