A classic of the macabre and fantastic, The October Country contains such milestones in the medium as Homecoming and The Small Assassin, as well as The Dwarf and Touched by Fire. The underlying theme is the distortion and disguises of love, in a world that sorely needs it. With illustrations by Joe Mugnaini, who illustrated several of Bradbury's previous works including the very famous Fahrenheit 451.
