Inscribed by the author on the title page prior to publication, “To the Mac Donalds, with deep appreciation and best wishes from Charles Lindbergh July, 1953 Publication date is Sept. 14. The recipients were Charles Henry MacDonald and his wife. MacDonald was a fellow fighter pilot who commanded the 475th Fighter Group for 20 months in his P-38 Lightning, Putt Putt Maru with the unit number 100 and becoming the third ranking fighter ace in the Pacific during World War II. Some rubbing to the spine ends, an excellent example in a very good dust jacket. A nice association.
