Signed limited edition of this work on wildlife conservation published in cooperation with The World Wildlife Fund. Quarto, bound in full dark blue morocco by Zaehnsdorf with gilt titles and tooling to the spine within raised bands, polychrome central motif to the front panel decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, gilt turn ins and inner dentelles, marbled endpapers. Illustrated with numerous full-page color plates and maps. One of only 265 copies signed by Prince Philip on the title page, this is number 11. In fine condition.

A pioneer of environmental conservation, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is widely considered the founding father of the world conservation movement. Prince Philip was the first President of WWF-UK from its foundation in 1961 to 1982, and President of WWF-International from 1981 to 1996. On his retirement, he became our President Emeritus - a position he still holds today. As President of WWF, Philip worked to protect important threatened species including the rhino, tiger, and panda and developed the first global certification and labelling scheme for sustainable seafood products.
