Octavo, 15 volumes bound in three quarter morocco with gilt titles and tooling to the spine in six compartments within raised gilt bands, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, illustrated with tissued-guarded portraits of each featured historical figure. One of one thousand and fifty numbered and registered copies of the Presidents’ edition, this is number 698, registered to Evelyn and Warren Winkelstein. In very good condition. A very attractive set.
