Green plush velvet book display cradle lined with woven gold rope. The cradle measures 26.5 inches in length, 11 inches in height, and 25 inches deep and is made to house a folio book. In fine condition.

Book cradles have been used for centuries to present the interiors of bound materials without putting unnecessary stress on delicate book bindings. It is the common practice of many libraries to display a spread of pages for several weeks and then turn the page to preserve the condition of the book's pages and spine.
