Twelve inches wide, contains roughly 200 photographs of life in India, ca. 1943, with visits to the Taj Mahal, much in Calcutta, documenting life in the barracks, street life including contortionists, a snake charmer, funeral biers, documentation of an airplane crash, etc. Whoever kept this album trained in Jackson, Mississippi and the first some pages have white ink captions for photos of life in the camp that are no longer there. The person who took these photographs was probably in the Air Force and a number were taken while in the air.
