Rare thirty-seven star American flag in use between July 4, 1876 when the state of Nebraska was admitted into the Union as the 37th state and July 3, 1877 when Colorado was admitted as the 38th state. Silk with a 6-6-6-7-6-6 arrangement of the stars. In very good condition. Matted and framed. The flag measures approximately 23 inches by 36 inches. The entire piece measures 41 inches by 53 inches.
