Quarto, bound in full leather with "Carte Des Vins Le Cirque" stamped in gilt, gilt ruling, and scrolling to the front panel, watered moiré silk endleaves, 14 pages contained in laminated sleeves, text in calligraphy decorated with hand-colored borders, the list contains sections of Champagnes, Bordeaux, Bourgogne, wines of the Rhone, Loire, Alsace, Vins Mousseux, Rose, Italian and American reds. Knight designed the glove for Kirk for her opener in the Waldorf's swank Wedgewood Room which featured a slightly blue but clever parody of the serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden into tasting the forbidden fruit using a long green glove. The act was received warmly by the audience. Double matted and framed. The entire piece measures 18 inches by 19 inches. Rare and desirable.
