Additionally signed and inscribed by nearly 70 individuals. In his book, 'Walt Disney: An American Original,' Bob Thomas recounts the story of Walt Disney's visit to the Bohemian Club in 1936, the year in which his signature appears in this volume -- apparently the snoring from the following evening inspired the snoring scene in the Dwarfs' cottage in Snow White. The wooden gavel was made from original materials removed from the White House during its reconstruction in 1950 under the Truman administration. Much of the interior was reconstructed over a two year period. The gavel features a plaque engraved, ''Original White House Material Removed in 1950'' with the Great Seal of the United States at center. The piece measures 10.5 inches by 3 inches with a 2 inches diameter. In fine condition.
